Tyrese Cooper Clocks 20.55 200 for Sophomore Class RecordPublished by
Cooper breaks soph class record in 200 at Bob Hayes Tyrese Cooper and Symone Mason both beat strong fields and ran very fast times on Saturday at the Bob Hayes Invitational in Jacksonville. RESULTS Cooper, of Norland FL, won the 200 meters in 20.55 seconds, breaking the national sophomore class record and tying Kendal Williams for the all-time state best in Florida. Cooper also ran 46.16 to win the 400 meters. Mason, of Southridge FL, ran a sensational 11.24/23.00 double in the 100 and 200. In the 100, it was a matchup with Miami Northwestern star Twanisha Terry that produced a fast race. Terry ran 11.39 for second and Ka'Tia Seymour of Palatka was third in 11.49. The Miami Northwestern girls ran 46.19 in the 4x100 relay and 3:46.09 in the 4x400. The Miami Northwestern boys ran 3:12.45 in a loaded 4x400 final. More news |
